Clothing Alterations

Policy & Procedure

No appointment is needed, walk-in during our business hours! For Wedding Dresses we do recommend making an appointment.

 

We offer off hour appointments upon request. If you miss your appointment without 24 hours notice, there is a $10 fee. A Credit Card number is required to make off hour appointment.

 

A Consultation Service Fee of 25% of the total bill will be charged if you have been fitted but do not go forward with the alterations. 

 

Payment is due at the time of drop off. Expected turn-around times are usually 7 days or less! We will let you know at the time of drop off the expected pick up date.

Rush Fees are applicable if needed.

 

Deep Closets owner and employees will use our discretion and expertise in advising and altering your clothing. We have the right to refuse any item or customer for any reason.

We are not responsible for any items left over 60 days. You will be notified to pick up your items by phone, text and/or email after 30 days.

Deep Closets is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items. 

Deep Closet Alteration Price List

All prices starting at:

  • Shorten dress-shirt sleeves: $18

  • Shorten Jacket Sleeves: $20 (without buttons) to $25 (with buttons)

  • Take in the body of a jacket: $35 (two seams) to $45 (three seams)

  • Take in Shirt: $16+

  • Adjust the shoulders of a jacket: $35

  • Hem a Skirt or Dress: $12 up to $35

  • Take in or let out a Pants/Skirt: $15, $20 (lined) or $25 (with a zipper)

  • Take in Waist, Seat & Stride: $24-$36

  • Basic Pant Hem: $9

  • Shorten Pants with Cuffs: $14

  • Shorten Pants with Lining: $16

  • Shorten Lined and Cuffed pants: $18

  • Jean Hems: Basic $10, Re-attach original hem: $13 or $15

  • Taper in Pant Leg: $15-$24

  • Take in a sheath dress: $35

  • Moving a button: $2

  • Hook & Eye: $5 per set

  • Pant/Skirt Zippers: $15 and up

  • Zipper Replacement $35 and Up

  • Zipper Pull $8-$15

  • Mending $5+, Re-Sew Seam :$3+

Formal dress alterations ranges:

  • Take In/Let Out: $30-$200

  • Hem: $35 - $200 or more

  • Hems with Lace $300+

  • Adding a bustle(s): $55 for the first, $10 each additional

  • Adding bra cups: $20-$40 

  • Modesty panel: $30-$50
